A Canadian Ambassador
from Moscow is abruptly recalled to Ottawa, in the wake of the
murder of a Russian youth in a Moscow hotel room. Set in an
Ottawa safe house in 1972, the Stillborn Lover explores the darker
side of loyalty and commitment, when the stakes are high and
diplomatic careers hang by the thread. The ambassador is
forced to unravel his past with his ailing wife and adult
daughter, as questions of loyalty, emotional confusion and
sexuality come to light. |
