From the program for Enchanted April: TANIA CARRIERE (Rose Arnott) is happy to be back on stage because “the creative magic that is theatre invites me to take a closer look at the world and, from the vantage of a new perspective, gifts me something that will enrich my life.” Diverse roles include: dominatrix Phoebe/Poupee in Communicating Doors, doting daughter Rosalind in Moon Over Buffalo, senile woman in The Babies, the minister’s wife Monica in Sinners and 19th Century shopboy Christopher in On The Razzle. Big thanks to GMG for your support and living without dinner for the last month. From the program for Blithe Spirit: TANIA CARRIERE (Elvira) “There is that smaller world which is the stage, and that larger stage which is the world” ~ Isaac Goldberg. Thanks to GMG for cheering me on, even during Sens playoffs. From the program for Having a Wonderful Time, Wish You Were Her: TANIA CARRIÈRE (director) happily makes her directorial debut at Kanata Theatre in the same genre of theatre in which she began as an actress – comedy. What makes life so enjoyable is its unpredictable tendency to throw us into moments that seem both mundane and wildly surreal at the same time. To spot those moments and then just throw my head back in laughter is the most rejuvenating part of any day. Thanks to Gerry for his belief in me and his willingness to chuckle at all my antics and thanks to everyone that made this theatre production come to life. When we have as much fun off-stage as we do on stage, we know we are onto something!
