Chrissy made her debut in the part of Annelle in Steel Magnolias, then took the roles of Fran and Betsy in The Heidi Chronicles, and Nurse Wilson in A Month of Sundays. Her most recent role was as Carnelle in The Miss Firecracker Contest. She also enjoys applying make-up to the many actors and actresses over the years. She insists that she is "hooked on acting" but between these productions she was "on sabbatical" as she was engaged in other kinds of production, the youngest of whom is now nearly eight years old.

From the program for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof:

CHRISSY HOLLANDS (Maggie) first appeared on the Kanata Theatre stage as Annelle in Steel Magnolias in 1994. She has since appeared as Nurse Wilson in A Month of Sundays and as Carnell in The Miss Fire Cracker Contest. After a long stint away from the stage, she made an appearance in Peter Colley’s You’ll Get Used to It - The War Show and before gravitating back to the Deep South, Chrissy could be found among the make-up and set painting crew in many other Kanata Theatre productions.
