From the program for Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun: TOM KOBOLAK (Director) has been active in the community theatre as an actor, director and administrator since the early ‘80’s. For Kanata Theatre, he last directed Brian Friel’s Irish drama Dancing at Lughnasa and he was last seen on stage as Screamin’ John in 2004’s Rock and Roll. An addicted motorcyclist, he waits patiently (?) for clear pavement, sunshine and much warmer weather. From the program for Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks:
TOM KOBOLAK (Michael Minetti) has been active in community theatre in
Nepean and Kanata since the early ‘80’s, primarily as an actor, director and
administrator. Recently, he directed Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun, and
prior to that, Brian Friel’s Irish drama, Dancing at Lughnasa. Onstage,
he has tended to play characters who dwell in interesting locations, such as a
sewerman living deep in the Paris underground, or a dead rock’n’roll idol
residing in a graveyard in Mushaboom, Nova Scotia. He has also been active with
the Savoy Society, most recently as a long haired, cutthroat pirate in
Pirates of Penzance. From the program for The Taming of the Shrew: TOM KOBOLAK (Vincentio) was last seen, rather differently dressed, as Michael in last season’s production of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. His many other roles for Kanata Theatre include Torvald in A Doll’s House, Scoop in The Heidi Chronicles, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, Screamin’ John McGee in Rock and Roll, The Sewerman in The Madwoman of Chaillot and Max in The Real Thing. His directing credits for Kanata Theatre include Three Tall Women, The Inheritance, Dancing at Lughnasa, and Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun. From the program for Romeo and Juliet: TOM KOBOLAK (Director) has been active in community theatre since the early 80’s, primarily as an actor, director and administrator. Tom last directed Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun for the 2008-2009 Kanata Theatre season. He is thrilled to direct Shakespeare’s great romantic adventure story and to work with the numerous people on stage and off who have tackled this production with such fierce and unbending will. Enjoy it everyone, and remember the greatest nights of your lives. This page generated on 2013/02/03 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
