From the programs for Enchanted April and others: NEDRA NASH (Mrs. Graves) debuted in Noises Off for Kanata Theatre in 1988. She played the mad, virginal Gabrielle in The Mad Woman of Chaillot, Sally/farmer's wife in last season's You'll Get Used to It! - The War Show and Snozgorp the goon in The Dragonslayers. At Ottawa Little Theatre she used a Hungarian accent as Eva in Salesmen Don't Ride Bikes and a British accent as Vera in Auntie Mame. Nedra appeared as Miss Lynch in Grease for Orpheus and as a singing Owl in Goya Theatre's Hansel & Gretel. She is often mistaken as English but is actually Missouri born and Kansas bred. She credits moving to Canada, several British school chums, and a community theatre pal "sent down" from Oxford, for her 'plummy' tones. Community Theatre is a great way to cross the boundaries of generation stratification: one may take one's bows with a nine-year-old on the left and a 55-year-old on the right. What better! From the program for Blithe Spirit: NEDRA NASH (Mme. Arcati) was last seen as Mrs. Graves in Enchanted April and so much wisteria went to her head, that she’s now dematerialising “blithe” spirits in the guise of Mme. Arcati, who adores dry martinis. As Vera, in Auntie Mame for OLT, she experienced the delish 1920’s cocktail, Sidecar. Surely Mme. Arcati will get into these once she’s dismounted her bike to celebrate her splendid “Condomine” success. Under such influences, Nedra oft bursts, Wagnerianly, into the German “Lili Marlene” from You’ll Get Used to It! - The War Show.
